Join Us This Sunday, November 2, 2025
November 2, 2025 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Dear friends in Christ,
This Sunday will remember all the saints in our lives and history who have passed on before us. Everyone will be invited to light a candle in memory of the saints in their lives who have taught them, shaped them, and inspired them. We will be reading a story from the little-known book of Tobit about a man who insisted on honoring the saints who passed even when it got him into trouble. Please join us this Sunday as we recall our history and honor our foremothers and forefathers.
SPECIAL NOTE ON FOOD RESOURCES: For food insecurity, if you need help or want to help, reach out to Pastor Tracy at 323-793-9059 (call or text). The church can help you with groceries, and you will remain anonymous.
As our government shutdown continues and the threats to cut off SNAP benefits loom large, our church is poised to help. On Sundays, anyone can take a sack lunch at any time for themselves or to give to someone who can use it. You don’t have to ask permission or explain why you are taking a sack lunch to anyone. They are in the bins with yellow lids in the Fellowship Hall. Many people are already receiving and donating specifically for this issue as of this past week. You can also call or text to:
- Donate to the Sack Lunch Program
- Donate to the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund
- Volunteer for Sack Lunch Distribution during the week
If we all work in beloved community, ask for what we need, and give what we can, we can navigate this temporary crisis together. “…they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need…day by day…they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts…” Acts 2:44-46
We will look forward to seeing you there!
Many blessings,
Pastor Tracy
