Dear friends in Christ,

Mary Magdalene is a figure of great mystery and controversy. She is both judged and revered. As the first evangelist called by Christ, she holds a critical place in history. There is much that we don’t know about her and much that has been made up about her. As Jesus’ designated apostle, the first witness to the resurrection, she wears a special mantle that has much to teach us about faith, calling, and redemption. When we delve into the history of her name and discipleship, we find that Jesus holds her up as a special testament to faith in difficult times and places, and her example has much to teach us.

This Sunday we will be assembling our 1000^th Sack Lunch (and many more) after worship, and celebrating with a BBQ and Potluck. Please join us!
