Dear friends in Christ,

This week we celebrate Peace Sunday, and will read the prayer sung by Zechariah after nine months of enforced silence. His words still resonate today as much because of his desire for peace in a broken world, as for his song being a response to Mary’s.

Zechariah speaks of many things in his song, but what comes up again and again is both peace and enemies, two things that would seem to be in opposition. And yet, Jesus taught that is through loving our enemies that we find peace. How can this be? The answer might surprise you.

Please join us this Sunday as we dig deep into this ancient story and prayer and find how it still has the power to inform and inspire us today.

Please plan on joining us after worship as we sort and box up clothes for The Boutique at The Hub, a center in Los Angeles that serves our homeless neighbors.
