Dear friends in Christ,

I want to take a moment to apologize for worship last week – we started late and were unable to stream to Facebook as we had planned. This week we are trying to take the next steps to transfer from livestreaming on Facebook to gathering on Zoom and I ask for your patience as we anticipate again needing to work out some kinks. If you want to join us online in future weeks, we ask that you register on Zoom here.

This week we are reading a trinity of parables about things and people lost and found. Jesus often used parables to try and describe the Realm of Heaven to people who just couldn’t imagine it. And this time, Jesus describes it in three similar but distinct ways, one after another. Why would He go to so much trouble over one little concept? Why repeat Himself? And more importantly, why could the apostles ever understand these things the first time?

Jesus never did anything accidentally, so there is much to be learned by digging into this juicy trio of the lost. Please join us this Sunday as we unpack this scripture to reveal the message of hope within.

Opportunities for youth

We are applying for a grant that will allow us to give grocery gift cards to medical workers who have been on strike for more than five months as they negotiate for better patient care and working conditions. If the grant is awarded, as part of our support we will be purchasing non-perishable groceries for the workers. All youth are invited to help make the grocery list, shop for the groceries, and assemble the grocery boxes. If your youth is interested in helping, please text Pastor Tracy at 323-793-9059
