Dear friends in Christ,
Forgiveness is at the core of our faith, and at the same time it is one of the most difficult
spiritual practices went strive to learn. Forgiveness is neither simple nor easy, especially
when the other has committed a sin that seems unforgivable, or – even worse – refuses
to apologize. At the same time, forgiveness is essential not only to our faith, but to our
daily and lifelong well-being. Forgiveness impacts every relationship we have in our
personal and professional lives, as well as with ourselves.
In Bible Study we are working our way through Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount from the
Gospel of Matthew: 5-7. This week we will be focusing on 5:33-48 – turning the other
cheek, and loving your enemy.
