September 20 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Dear friends in Christ,
For the past two Sundays we have explored the themes of reconciling with someone who has hurt you, and forgiveness in difficult situations. This Sunday we will look deeply into a story of a family healing hurts that are decades old and wrongs that seem unforgivable in real time. In the story of Joseph and his brothers, we get an intimate look into a family wrestling with each other and with God in the midst of family wounds that are both old and deep. If anyone has every felt dismissed and traumatized because in their deepest grief someone said, “Well, God has a plan,” or “The Lord works in mysterious ways,” this story turns that theology on its head and has much to teach us about God’s actual healing grace.
In Bible Study we are working our way through the Sermon on the Mount, and this week we will be focusing on “Love thy enemy,” Matthew 5:43-48 and praying in and donating in public and private in Matthew 6:1-6. Bible Study gathers in the Fellowship Hall after worship.
Big thanks to Micah and all the folks who helped assemble sack lunches last week. You all filled our food pantry with 121 lunches!
Please join us this for worship, Bible Study and fellowship this Sunday. We will look forward to seeing you there!
Many blessings,
Pastor Tracy
