Dear friends in Christ,

Moses is known as the greatest prophet in the Hebrew scriptures. He stood up to Pharoah and led the people out of slavery into freedom. But Moses didn’t start off being a great leader. When God called him to save the people, Moses declined, and gave no fewer than six excuses in a row as to why he really couldn’t, shouldn’t, wouldn’t go. We may laugh, but Moses’ complaints are actually quite reasonable by human standards, and ones that we still use today. How did God reassure Moses and convince him to go? How did Moses evolve from being a “Let someone else deal with it” kind of prophet to a “Let my people go!” kind of prophet?

Please join us this Sunday as we explore the answers to these questions. This conversation has much to teach us about answering God’s call and being the hands and feet of Jesus on the earth today amidst a similar call to help.
