Dear friends in Christ,

This past Sunday was a wonderful day. With everyone’s help, we assembled 370 sack lunches, bringing our total for the year to 1,337! Thank you to Janette, Mavery, Kamila, Scarlett, and all the youth who helped this year. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped take the youth shopping and assemble sack lunches. Thank you to all the folks who donated to our Sack Lunch Fund. Thank you to the West Point Church who worked so hard on Sunday to set up a huge assembly line and then assemble so many lunches, and to Kim who organized them all coming. Thank you to Randi for getting our fledgling recycling program up and running in time for this event. Thank you to everyone who helped with the potluck BBQ, especially Jenni for organizing it, Evan, Jim and Randall for working the grill, Marlene for working so hard on setup and clean-up, and every single person who contributed food, time, labor, and their generous spirit. This Sunday we will be talking about Trans people in the Bible. Yes, there are Trans folk in the Bible and yes, God loves them. Please join us as we look at the biblical evidence that affirms their place in the Realm of Heaven.

October 10-12 – Camp for all ages at Pilgrim Pines! At WeHo UCC, all children who want to go to camp will be sent to camp, free of charge. Adults are also attending, and the registration fee is $225 per adult. If you have a kid who would like to attend, please call or text Pastor Tracy before you register: 323-793-9059. If you would like to help send our kids to camp, you can donate to the Youth Campership Fund. It costs $175 per child to send them and we already have two who want to go!

November 12-14 Women’s Retreat: Rest is Resistance at Pilgrim Pines. Deadline to register is 10/19/2025 and scholarships are available.
