Thank you, everyone, for all the donations and hard work that relaunched the Sack Lunch Program. Our goal was to assemble 24 sack lunches, and last Sunday we assembled 52! Take a look at the photos from this awesome program below. We have already begun distributing the bags to people coming to the church needing a meal. Some have come as Sunday visitors, some have rung our bell this week and asked specifically for a sack lunch, and some have been given to homeless folks who attend our 12-step meetings in the evenings. Church members are also encouraged to keep a sack lunch in their vehicle in case they encounter someone in need of a meal when they are out and about. We will be continuing to accept donations and assemble bags on a rolling basis throughout the year, so it’s not too late to donate!
