Dear friends in Christ,

There is much talk of forgiveness in Christianity and in the Bible and today. But the scripture around forgiveness centers around much more than sin. In fact, in the prayer that Jesus taught us, there are three different versions that address debts, trespasses, and sins. Then we have a parable that address forgiveness of loans. In the news these days there is lots of talk about forgiveness. But are they talking about the same forgiveness as Jesus, and what do Jesus’ parable and prayer have to teach us today? The answer may forgive you.
