Dear friends in Christ,

In the weeks following Easter, we hear the stories of the risen Christ appearing to disciples in surprising ways and surprising locations. Mary Magdalene in the cemetery, Doubting Thomas in a closed room, and this week among a group of traveling disciples on the road to Emmaus. Each story holds a key to how God finds us in the most unexpected places – when we need her the most. Even though these happened thousands of years ago, join us this Sunday to learn how they still hold truths for today.

Also, please join us before worship at 9 AM as we begin our six-part Bible Study series The Bible in Perspective. We will begin by asking, Where does the Bible get its authority? How do some folks see it as helpful lessons of affirmation, while others see it as law, judgment, and condemnation? We will look at the scriptural passages that are at the heart of these questions and dig into what weight they still hold for us today. Bring your bibles, your questions, and your willingness to dive into scripture.

I will look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

Many blessings,

Pastor Tracy
